How limo rental pricing actually works
Two different things get called “renting a limo”, and they are priced differently. Knowing which one you need is most of the quote.
Hourly charter — the vehicle is yours
Proms, weddings, bar routes, tours. The limousine and chauffeur stay with your group for the booked block. Rates start at $150/hr for the stretch. There is a minimum — longer for party buses and coaches — and booked hours have to cover round-trip drive time, because the vehicle cannot earn anything on the way back to the garage.
Point-to-point transfer — flat, no minimum
Airport runs and single drops. Priced as one flat fare for the route rather than by the hour, with no minimum. If you only need the car once in each direction, this is almost always cheaper than an hourly charter — ask dispatch to price it both ways.

How much does it cost to rent a limousine in Chicago?
Limousines for rent at Monarch Fleet start at $150/hr for the Lincoln Stretch and run to $280/hr for the largest party buses. Gratuity is inside the quoted rate and there is no peak or surge multiplier; a 2% admin fee and 6% card fee are added at checkout. Airport transfers are priced flat instead of hourly.
Is there a minimum rental time?
Yes. Stretch limousines and Sprinters carry a multi-hour minimum, and party buses, trolleys and coaches carry a longer one, because the vehicle is committed to you for the evening. Booked hours must cover round-trip drive time. One-way airport transfers are flat-rate with no minimum.
What sizes of limousine can I rent?
We rent from 8-passenger stretch limousines up to 40-passenger party buses, plus a Hummer H2 limo and a Mercedes Sprinter jet limo. The full fleet is 22 vehicles. If you tell dispatch the group size and the route, they will tell you which vehicle actually fits — including luggage, which is where most limo bookings go wrong.
Can we drink alcohol in the limo?
Passengers of legal drinking age may consume alcohol in our limousines and party buses. Anyone under 21 on board means the vehicle runs dry, and our chauffeurs enforce that — it protects the licence that lets us operate.
How far in advance should I book a limo rental?
Prom season and December weekends sell out weeks ahead, and the larger party buses are the first to go. For a Saturday in peak season, two to four weeks is sensible. Midweek and off-season we can often cover same-day — call (224) 801-3090 and dispatch will tell you honestly what is free.
Do you rent limousines without a chauffeur?
No. Every limousine we rent comes with a professional chauffeur. Self-drive limo rental is not something a licensed livery operator can offer in Illinois, and any company advertising it is not running a compliant operation.
