Downtown and Loop Venues

The Peninsula Chicago (108 E Superior St) has a covered motor court that fits one vehicle at a time. Coordinate with the hotel's bell captain for arrival timing. They manage the queue and won't let multiple limos stack up. The nearby loading zone on Superior can hold a second vehicle for the bridal party.

The Langham Chicago (330 N Wabash Ave) sits on the north bank of the Chicago River. Vehicle access is via the circular driveway on Wabash. The hotel limits vehicles to 15 minutes in the drive, so time your arrival precisely. Photo opportunities on the Wabash Avenue Bridge and Riverwalk are 2 minutes away on foot.

The Drake Hotel (140 E Walton Pl) has a legendary front entrance on Walton and Michigan. The canopy entrance fits one stretch limo. For large wedding parties, stage additional vehicles on Walton Place east of Michigan. The Gold Coast neighborhood offers walking-distance photo spots at Oak Street Beach and the Magnificent Mile.

Venue 1 at Chicago's Old Post Office (433 W Van Buren St) is a newer space with industrial character. Vehicle access is on Van Buren, it's a wide street with easy staging. The venue has a loading dock that can accommodate buses. Congress Parkway provides quick access to Lake Shore Drive for after-party transportation.

The Art Institute's Modern Wing (159 E Monroe St) hosts receptions in the Griffin Court. Vehicle access is on Monroe Street. Parking is limited. Use the Millennium Park garage on Columbus. The Lurie Garden and Millennium Park are right there for photos between ceremony and reception.

Industrial, Loft, and Unique Venues

Salvage One (1840 W Hubbard St) in the West Town neighborhood is a vintage furniture warehouse turned event space. Street parking only, Hubbard is narrow, so limos need to stage on Grand Avenue one block north. The neighborhood is walkable to several post-reception bars on Grand and Chicago avenues.

Bridgeport Art Center (1200 W 35th St) has a rooftop sculpture garden with skyline views. The building has a parking lot, but it fills with guest cars. Stage limos on 35th Street. The Bridgeport neighborhood is 10 minutes from downtown, short transfer times keep your timeline tight.

Gallery 1028 (1028 N Western Ave) in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood is a raw industrial space. Western Avenue is a major street with easy vehicle access. The venue has no dedicated parking lot, so guest shuttles from a nearby hotel are the standard approach.

Ravenswood Event Center (4011 N Ravenswood Ave) sits in a converted warehouse in North Center. The street is wide enough for bus staging. Nearby hotels on Lincoln Avenue (2 miles south in Lakeview) are the usual base for guest shuttles. The venue has freight elevator access for load-in, which helps wedding vendors but doesn't affect transportation logistics.

Morgan Manufacturing (401 N Morgan St) in the Fulton Market District is surrounded by restaurants and nightlife. Vehicle access on Morgan Street is straightforward, but weekend evenings bring heavy foot and car traffic from the restaurant scene. Plan arrivals 15 minutes early to account for the Fulton Market congestion.

Suburban and Country Club Venues

Medinah Country Club (6N001 Medinah Rd, Medinah) hosted three U.S. Opens and sits 30 miles west of downtown. The club has a grand circular driveway that handles multiple vehicles. For city guests, the drive is 45-65 minutes depending on traffic. An early Saturday ceremony (before noon) avoids the worst of the outbound expressway traffic.

Independence Grove (16400 W Buckley Rd, Libertyville) is a forest preserve with lakefront ceremony sites. The venue is 40 miles north of the city. Routes 21 and 176 are two-lane roads that back up with wedding traffic. Your driver should know the alternate route via Milwaukee Avenue to avoid the single-lane bottleneck on Buckley Road.

Danada House (3S501 Naperville Rd, Wheaton) is a historic estate on the DuPage County Forest Preserve. Naperville Road provides direct access, and the venue has ample parking. Guest shuttles from downtown Wheaton hotels (Marriott, Hilton) run about $149/hour for a sprinter van, a 5-minute ride each way.

Cafe Brauer (2021 N Stockton Dr) in Lincoln Park Zoo is one of Chicago's most photographed wedding venues. Stockton Drive is the only vehicle access, and it's one-way northbound. Limos must approach from Fullerton and can stage briefly in the drop-off zone before the venue coordinator moves them to the zoo parking lot. The Lincoln Park Conservatory and North Pond are 2-minute walks for photos.

Garfield Park Conservatory (300 N Central Park Ave) offers a tropical greenhouse setting on the West Side. Central Park Avenue has easy vehicle access. The neighborhood is 15 minutes from downtown and 25 from the North Shore suburbs. Guest shuttle from downtown hotels runs $150-175/hour.

Wedding Day Transportation Timeline

Here is a standard timeline for a 4:00pm ceremony with a 6:00pm reception at a different venue. Adjust times based on your specific schedule.

1:00pm, Sedan arrives at bride's getting-ready location (hotel or home). Driver loads garment bags, bouquets, and emergency kit. 1:30pm, Bridal party limo arrives at the same location. Bridesmaids load in. 2:00pm, Both vehicles depart for the ceremony venue. Allow 30-45 minutes of travel time plus a 15-minute buffer.

2:45pm, Arrive at ceremony venue. Driver assists with dress and helps the wedding party exit without snagging fabric on the door. 4:00pm, Ceremony begins. Drivers stage in the parking area. 4:45pm, Ceremony ends. Vehicles pull to the front entrance within 5 minutes of the recessional.

5:00pm, Photo stops. Driver takes the couple and bridal party to 1-2 photo locations (20 minutes each). Popular stops: Buckingham Fountain, Olive Park, the Riverwalk at Wacker and Wabash, and the North Avenue Beach chess pavilion. 5:45pm, Arrive at reception venue. Driver opens doors, assists with dress. The couple enters the cocktail hour already in progress.

11:00pm, Reception ends. Guest shuttle bus makes one or two runs to the hotel (10-15 minutes each way). The couple's sedan departs last, after the send-off. Total vehicle time for the couple: approximately 5-6 hours. Bridal party limo: 3-4 hours. Guest shuttle: 2-3 hours.

Build your wedding transport

Most Chicago weddings book two vehicles: a car for the couple and a shuttle for guests. Pick both and see the hourly estimate before you talk to anyone.

1 · The couple's car
2 · Guest shuttle
3 · Hours of coverage

Ceremony to last dance is usually 5–6 hours. Each vehicle bills its own minimum (Escalade ESV is 3 hours).

Estimated vehicle cost$650
  • Escalade ESV · 5 hrs × $130 = $650

Estimate only. Gratuity, fuel and tolls are included in the hourly rate. A 2% admin fee, 8% tax and the card fee are added at checkout, and the final quote comes from the booking engine once we have your venues and timing.

Dates 6–12 months out are normal. We hold the date on a deposit and finalise the timeline closer to the day.

Wedding Transportation FAQ

For the wedding party (bride, groom, bridal party, parents), plan on 2-3 vehicles. A stretch limo fits the bridal party (6-8), a sedan for the couple, and a sedan or SUV for parents. For guest shuttles, one party bus (40 passengers) or 2-3 sprinter vans (14 each) covers most weddings.
